I promised to post the instructions and details of the giveaway for this week but I’m still working on how I’m going to package stuff affordably. I didn’t realize postage was so stinkin’ much!! So, with that said, I’m going to delay posting until I have each package together and I go to the post office to determine the weight. I put some fake #’s into a rate finder on Canada Post website and .. yikes .. $100.00 for shipping! That’s just not something I can afford. For those of you who have hosted giveaways before, what have you found the best way to do this affordably?
So sorry for the delay! I should have had all this organized before I let the ‘cat out of the bag’ but I was so excited I had stuff to giveaway that I didn’t think about the rest of it. Please don’t think I’m a flake..I promise I’ll get this figured out as soon as possible! Thanks for understanding.
Sharon, postage is also very expensive from South Africa, thats why I only have digi stamps for my give aways, this way the whole world can take part. But on the other hand receiving actual goodies is always very exciting. Good luck.

Yea,I was surprised the last time I did candy too. Not quite as high as you mentioned, but way too high. So I've decided that I'll mostly do gift certs from now on. And they won't be for much because I could offer more when I got items on sale and stuff, (I am a bargain shopper!)but postage is just too out of sight. It's too bad because it influences people just giving away excess stash too!
ReplyDeleteWow I certainly understand. I couldn't do it. I am sitting here with a box that needs to go to someone on my stamping list and I can only imagine what it is going to cost so take your time and do what is best for you. We love you. Even if I don't post much I still check in because I have you coming into my e-mails . Hugs, Cathy K
