Once In Lifetime…

A true friend is someone you can be yourself around, and never have to fake it. This person knows everything about you and still loves you just the same!  They are someone you can laugh with, cry with, and treasure the moments with.  I call this a once in a lifetime friendship.

I wrote this poem in honour of my once in a lifetime friend.  You know who you are!

Once in a lifetime someone touches your life
Attaching themselves to your heart without intending to
Believing in you with an unshakeable confidence
Offering you strength and hope when you have none
Encouraging you to reach deep into your soul to unveil a fresh perspective,
allowing you to see yourself in new ways
Standing steadfastly by your side in times of suffering & uncertainty
Building you up and empowering you to be a positive influence
to those you come in contact with
Challenging you to continually strive toward the goals set before you
When this someone comes into your life, hold onto them and be thankful
that you have been blessed with the gift of a once in a lifetime friend.

Speaking of Mother’s Day…

I just wanted to share with you the card I made for my Mom.  I love you, Mom.  Thanks for the wisdom and love you have shared with me over the years. You are an inspiration to me and I’m so blessed to have you as a mom. xoxoxo

Thanks, girls…

We celebrated Mother’s Day this past weekend and guess what I got from my girls… COPICS!!  I’m now the proud owner of 9 new colors and I’m so thrilled.  And look, didn’t they do a great job on my card.  I’m so blessed to have my two beautiful daughters.  Thanks, girls xoxoxo

Masculine Birthday

I always find it harder to come up with masculine ideas for cards, don’t you?  I created this one for my nephew.  The word “birthday” was done freehand using some fancy lettering techniques I’ve been trying out and I coloured it in with my BIC Mark-It’s.  I curled the banner to give it a wavy, 3-d’ish look.  I embossed the word “wish” in white.  It’s one of my more basic cards but I think it turned out OK.
