New Clear It Out Challenge–Easter

Good morning, friends.  Can you believe that we are halfway through March and Easter is just around the corner.  I sure can’t!  This week at the Clear It Out Challenge Blog we are celebrating Easter with a fabulous challenge and two – yes TWO – great sponsors.

And since we have 2 amazing Digital Artists offering prizes this week, we will have 2 winners!!

This week’s challenge was to make an Easter card in any shape other than a rectangle.  I decided to make an easel card using a scalloped circle.   The cute little bunny is a digi stamp created by Nikki over at Limited Runs.

I attached the bunny to the card with a hand made wobbler.  I got the idea from a YouTube video I saw a long time ago.  Of course, I was going from memory and after checking online for another tutorial I realize I completely missed the step where the coil is attached to punched out circles.  Here is a picture of a wobbler I made for another project…

This is what it should look like.  See how the coil is actually attached to a circle rather than directly to the card.  Although mine works just fine, it would probably be easier to attach it to the circles first instead of having to fiddle with it on the card.  It took me a few tries to get the image exactly where I wanted it on the card because I had a hard time seeing and attaching the coil.

I took a video to show you how cute it was in action but I was having trouble with uploading it so you are going to have to take my word for it.   If you really want to see how to make a wobbler and watch it in action, here is a great video you can watch.

I paper pieced the heart and wrote the sentiment on it (I really need to work on my handwriting, lol).  I cut some eggs out of the background paper and popped them up.  The one in the photo below was just what I needed to help prop the card up.

Finally, here is a peek at the inside of the card…

I’d love for you to join us for this challenge so why not give it a try and hop on over to the Clear It Out Challenge Blog.  I hope you have as much fun creating your card as I did creating mine.  Don’t forget to share it here as well using the “share with me” feature on this blog.

**check back next week when I post another example for this challenge using a Digi Darla image.  You won’t want to miss it!**
