I found a video today that shows you how to make your own baker's twine. Absolutely brilliant. I will be shopping tomorrow for sure so that I can make some of my own. I'll post pics of my results when I'm done. In the meantime, check out this video...

ReplyDeleteUPDATE: I found some crochet thread and gave this a go. I'm not sure yet how I feel about the results. It might be that I need to get thread that doesn't soak up the ink so much. I found that when I colored it the ink seem to run down the thread rather than just stay where I drew the line. Hard to describe. I don't have a pic yet ... will try to get one tomorrow. Will also try working on it again to see if I can get different results. It might also be that I was in just too much of a hurry.
